Thorpe-le-Soken Baptist Church.

Completion date: 2005
Contract value: £56,000
Gross internal floor area:

This project was the refurbishment of a timber frame Grade 2* listed church built originally in 1802 consisting of removing a number of later interior rooms, the formation of a new vestibule in order to provide a larger floor area for the growing church. The project also included strengthening the structurally unsound gallery space providing an additional 40 seats. This building had a number of listed internal joinery elements which needed to be refurbished and required the complete replacement of the rotten suspended floor. MSA worked closely with English Heritage, the local authority Historic Building adviser and the Baptist Union's Historic Building representative.
